Our Smart Whiteboard Paint – White does not require professional installation. Anyone can apply this dry erase paint.
It is important that your surface is smooth before application. A smooth surface will help you achieve the best final results. A water based primer must be used before applying Smart Whiteboard Paint to any surface. We recommend using our Smart White Primer as it has been tested to work with our whiteboard paint.
Simply apply the primer, allow to dry, then apply one coat of our whiteboard paint. Once the dry erase paint has been applied you must wait 4 days before using the surface. A full application guide is available to help you apply our whiteboard paint.

Do I need to apply primer before applying whiteboard paint?
A primer helps give a surface a smooth finish and acts to ‘seal’ a surface.
This means that when you apply Smart Whiteboard Paint on a surface that has been primed, your whiteboard paint will stay on the wall instead of being absorbed into the surface.
Using a water based primer like Smart White Primer means you will get a smoother surface with optimum write-on-wipe-off functionality.
Can Smart Wall Paint be applied around people?
Yes, it is completely safe to apply dry erase paint around adults and children as it is certified as an extremely low VOC and low odour product.

Smart Whiteboard Paint does not contain any isocyanates which means it is extremely safe to use around people also.
Are there different colors of dry erase board paint available?
Smart Dry Erase Paint is available in a white finish or a clear (transparent) finish.
The clear finish allows you to retain the original color or graphics on your wall and benefit from whiteboard functionality.

Is Smart Dry Erase Paint suitable for surfaces like glass, wood or metal?
Smart Dry Erase Paint can be applied to almost any smooth surface (glass, metal, concrete, wood, refrigerators, Gypsum etc.).If you are using Smart Dry Erase Paint – White, it is essential to prime the surface first with Smart White Primer or any good quality water-based white primer. For Porous surfaces, you must first use a water-based primer like our Smart Primer in White or Clear. If you are using Smart Dry Erase Paint – Clear over an existing coloured surface, we recommend you use our Smart Clear Primer for the best performance. Smart Dry Erase Paint Clear can be applied over any colour, except for white as it may tinge the wall, for best results use Smart Dry Erase Paint White over a white surface.
