Tools for Working On The Go

Nowadays, many jobs involve frequent travel and working on the go. Today we’ve shared our four favourite tools for making life a little bit easier when working away from the office.

Tools for Working On the Go | Smarter Surfaces

Google drive: First up, we have one of the most useful online tools available right now. Google Drive allows you to collaborate with colleagues on a multitude of file types, from spreadsheets to presentations, in any location on any device. Simply log into your Google account to access your files and off you go.

Slack: Slack is essentially a messaging app meant for teams and workplaces, that can be used across multiple devices and platforms. The tool is equipped with features that allow you to not only chat one-on-one with associates but also in groups. You can also upload and share files, and integrate with other apps and services, such as Skype for video calls.

Skype: Our third recommendation for working on-the-go is Skype. This is a software that is available on desktop and phone. The tool allows you to make free video and voice calls from anywhere in the world, meaning you can conduct meetings with colleagues as if you were right there in the room with them. You can also send instant messages and share files with other people on Skype, making it an excellent platform to use when working on-the-go.

Whiteboard Sheets: Smart Whiteboard Sheets are perfect for meetings, conferences, workshops, brainstorming on-the-go. Simply tear a sheet from your roll and stick it to any smooth wall, table or door to create a dry-erase surface where you can collaborate with colleagues. Thanks to their static properties the sheets do not require thumbtacks, blu-tack or any other form of adhesive to stay on their surface. When you’ve finished, take a picture of your content to share with others and then wipe your notes off and start all over again!

So there you have it, four inexpensive (and some free) tools to simplify your life when working on-the-go.
