Congratulations to Helping Hands Autism Group who won 18m2 of our award-winning whiteboard paint, Smart Wall Paint, in a competition on social media.
Organised by Darren Toner of Smarter Surfaces Northern Ireland, Darren said “as Helping Hands Autism Group were moving into new premises, this prize was useful and timely. It’s great to see the whiteboard wall being used by the children.”
Helping Hands Autism Support Group was formed in 2008 by parents who wanted to build a better future for their children, who had a diagnosis of Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
As Helping Hands is organised and managed entirely by volunteers, all of the funds raised directly assist the families of children affected by Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. The Group takes great pride in helping families gain access to literature, equipment, training courses, therapies and facilities.
The support network brings families together, and has been invaluable in helping the family as a whole. Free play sessions are open to the siblings of the children affected by Autism and Aspergers, therefore any isolation felt by the whole family, is greatly reduced.
